Bru Burger Bar in Lexington, Kentucky, offers lots of unique customizations to make a burger that's tailored just for you!
Bru Burger Bar is a modern burger restaurant off Beaumont Circle in Lexington.
It's part of a small chain that started in 2011, with locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
We like seeing these small franchises with a commitment to quality food pop up around the area — others, like Condado and CoreLife Eatery, can also now be found in Lexington.
So what sets this place apart from other burger joints? Here's what a meal at Bru Burger Bar is like!
Seating at the Burger Bar
There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating — and, importantly, the outdoor seating is shaded! This makes it an ideal spot for a casual summer meal out. We love a comfortable restaurant patio.
Visit Bru Burger's official site to check out their menu, order takeout, or make reservations.
For dessert, we recommend a visit to the nearby Crank & Boom shop for ice cream! The Clays Mill location is only about five minutes away.
The Menu
We really enjoyed this spot! They had lots of delicious sounding burger options, and I loved that you could customize the burger meat to swap out the beef for bison, lamb, turkey or chicken. They also offer a vegan burger.
You can ask for a gluten-free bun if needed.
They had a large beer menu, which we skipped this time, since we’d just been next door at one of Liquor Barn's local beer festivals.
We started by splitting the Gorgonberry Pecan Salad as an appetizer. With a cranberry poppyseed dressing, gorgonzola cheese, and candied pecans, it was a nice blend of sweet and tart to take the edge off our hunger.
For our entrées, we tried the Melt Your Face and the Viking Farms Lamb burgers.
The Melt Your Face burger, as you might expect, is full of hot sauce, jalapenos, habanero mustard, and so forth.
Many of the burger options use locally sourced meat and other ingredients.
Everything was delicious and the service was great. It was a fantastic meal! What else should we try off the menu? Let us know in the comments.
