    Brevede Coffee Co. (Lexington, KY)

    Published: Jul 3, 2023 · Modified: Aug 25, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Brevede Coffee Co. is a cute and spacious coffee shop in the Distillery District of Lexington, Kentucky. Visit for pastries and specialty drinks!

We recently toured a couple of craft bourbon distilleries in Lexington, Kentucky: James E. Pepper and Barrel House.

They're both part of a newly revitalized area in Lexington called the Distillery District. But bourbon isn't the only thing this district has to offer! We also discovered a fantastic coffee shop within walking distance of both distilleries.

Brevede Coffee is the perfect place to spend a few minutes before a scheduled distillery tour. It's also worth visiting on its own, especially if you like the sound of a laid-back, welcoming place to grab a cup of something and relax a little.

According to their website, the name "Brevede" was inspired by the word "brevity" — a reminder that time passes quickly, and that stopping to enjoy it is important.

    A beautiful concept.

Here's a quick look at what to expect from this coffee shop!

    Finding Brevede Coffee

The Distillery District feels like a plaza, with numerous businesses and restaurants surrounding a central open area. Brevede Coffee is located near the plaza entrance off Manchester Street.

Parking is shared amongst several popular businesses, so this area can become rather crowded towards the weekend.

We later learned that there's another location on East High Street in the Chevy Chase area of Lexington. It looks beautiful too!

    Stepping Inside

The interior design of Brevede Coffee is super cute! It's very well-lit and relaxing, with lots of room for customers to spread out and a variety of seating options.

The shop sells coffee, pastries, and a few local artisan items.

Take a look at the online menu to see the basic drinks and a few food items, but know that you'll see more plenty more options once you've actually stepped into the shop.

I had a Miel Latte (a honey cinnamon latte) with half the sweetener. It was absolutely delicious, with the perfect amount of sweetness.

It made me wonder why I’ve never sprinkled cinnamon on my coffee at home! (In fact, I went home and recreated this honey cinnamon latte.)

Have some coffee, and then walk over to one of the on-site distilleries. For dessert, we love Crank and Boom, which is also within walking distance.
