For a tea party or a casual snack, Olive's Apron Bakery and Tea Shop provides a charming backdrop and plenty of tasty options!

Tea shops are a bit hard to come by in our area. But sometimes you just want to sit down with a friend over a delicate teacup with a brew that's been steeped just the right amount of time and a sweet treat — the question is, where to go?
We were happy to find a fairly new tea shop in Lexington, Kentucky. Olive's Apron is located in a small house with a charming setup inside. They welcome customers who want either formal tea parties or just a casual break.
Intrigued by what Olive's Apron has to offer? Here's what we found on our visit.
How to Get to Olive's Apron
This tea shop is located on Rosemont Garden, between Nicholasville Road and Harrodsburg Road.
It's right across the road from Pietana, one of our favorite pizza places in Lexington.
There's a small amount of parking in front of the building (looks like approximately enough for the size of events they're able to host).
Dining Areas
Besides the entry and ordering area, there are three small dining areas within the tea shop.
The one immediately to the left of the ordering area is pretty in pink, with a few small tables.
The room behind the ordering area has one larger table.
And then there's one other little room with a small coffee table, a bookshelf, and a couple of vintage chairs and a couch. It's cute and cozy.
It's a great setup for private parties, as you can book space for 6-8 people, or the entire place for up to 20 people.
Since there were no formal tea parties on the schedule when we arrived, we were encouraged to pick whatever room we wanted to sit in.
With all the pastel childhood décor, I could see this being an amazing place for a children's party, but it's also fun for grown-ups who still get a thrill from the idea of afternoon tea.
Here at Champagne Tastes we also love coffee! If you're wondering about the best coffee shops in Lexington, we recommend Brevede Coffee and La Petit Delicat.
Ordering Tea + Goodies
Olive's Apron has A LOT of tea flavors available, including seasonal ones.
We decided to order a pot of peaches and ginger tea, which provided a moderate amount for three people to drink (or a generous amount for two).
The display case features a decadent array of cupcakes, coffee cakes, cookies, brownies, scones, and so forth. It being fall, we couldn't pass up the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and caramel pumpkin cupcake.
You can check out the Facebook page for Olive's Apron to see what goodies are currently being offered.
We each picked out a dainty teacup and took our tea into the smallest dining area to wait for it to steep. (A handy timer was provided.)
This was a darling spot to take a break at, and the staff were super friendly. We hope to swing by again when we're in Lexington. If you're in the mood for tea and cake, I recommend it to you too!
