Copper and Oak is an upscale restaurant in downtown Danville, Kentucky. Here are our recommendations for drinks, entrees, and dessert!

Maybe you find yourself in Danville, Kentucky, to visit the Wilderness Trail Distillery, or for the annual brass band festival, or on your way to other distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail like Limestone Branch Distillery or Makers Mark.
Danville is a fun small town with access to a lot of points of interest. As we drove through recently, we stopped on a whim at Copper and Oak, an upscale restaurant, and had a delightful dinner.

Should I Make a Reservation?
We managed to snag one of the few available tables on a Friday evening.
Considering our experience, I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you’ve got your heart set on stopping here. (Especially on a busy weekend.)
They don't appear to have an online booking option at the moment, but you can call them to reserve a table.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day except Monday. Lunch might be less busy. It's also open for brunch on Sundays.

There's some outdoor seating if the weather is decent.
The Menu at Copper and Oak
We ordered a blackberry old fashioned and a classic old fashioned, featuring Wilderness Trail bourbon made right here in Danville.

Both were very good, and I liked that the blackberry drink wasn’t overly sweet.
A few different kinds of old fashioneds are among their signature drinks. They have an extensive menu of other cocktails too. You could also order one of their six whiskey flights featuring all Kentucky-made products.

We chose seared scallops on grits as our appetizer. (We inadvertently visited while they were offering a special occasion menu, and the scallops don't appear to be available all the time.)

The scallops were well seared and tasted great. I loved the grits.
For our main course, we ordered the double-cut bone-in pork chops and Maryland crab cakes.
The pork chops were well-prepared and high-quality — very juicy and tender. We really liked the blackberry glaze. They were served with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts.

I also enjoyed the crab cakes, although in hindsight I should’ve asked for extra rémoulade sauce since I wanted to add some to the basmati rice. They also came with mango salsa.
You'll find the crab cakes on both the appetizer menu and the entree menu, in different serving sizes.

For dessert we had cheesecake, a tasty way to finish off the meal.

I definitely recommend this stop if you’re in the area! The Sunday brunch menu also sounds amazing.
