The Hershey Pantry is a cute brunch spot in the small Pennsylvania community for which it's named. Expect lots of great sweets and savories!
The Hershey Pantry is a super cute brunch spot in — you guessed it — Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Small though the community is, it's got a lot to offer a casual visitor looking for delicious local food and drink (that's me!).
So if you want to know what else this area has to offer besides the obvious chocolate-related stops, I recommend searching out places like Troegs Independent Brewing for the brewery tours and beer garden, and The Hershey Pantry for breakfast or lunch.
Is It Crowded?
This is a spot that's been open now for over 30 years, and popular with locals and tourists alike.
There is seating both indoors and outdoors, but it's a small building and they don't take reservations.
That means that, yes, there can be a wait. If you come on a weekend, be patient. (It's worth it.)
They do ask groups to limit their stay to about 90 minutes, with the aim of accommodating as many as possible.
Brunch Options at The Hershey Pantry
The first thing I noticed was how many coffee options and specialty drinks there were on the drink menu. And there are also a lot of cocktails, including coffee-based ones, mimosas, and more.
I opted for a hot latte.
We saw lots of huge fluffy pancakes and French toast being served to the tables around us. The menu is full of mouth-watering choices. You can go either the decadent or the more healthy route; regardless, it all looked wonderful.
Some in our group tried the cinnamon rolls and said they were amazing. They also offer gluten-free pancakes, which I almost ordered, but at the last minute opted for something savory (per our server's recommendation).
Most of us went the savory route, with their delicious power bowl (quinoa, beans, corn, eggs, sweet potatoes).
Another friend tried the eggs benedict.
I opted for the brussels sprouts and kale Caesar salad (more lunch than brunch). It was delicious and came with a poppy seed muffin.
There are bi-weekly specials with lots of seasonal goodies; check their website for an up-to-date list!
And if you want something special to do with a group, they have seatings for afternoon tea (which is really a meal in itself) every day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
I really enjoyed my brunch at The Hershey Pantry and would love to go back when I'm in the area again!
