Goodwood is a Kentucky-based eatery with a reputation for good beer, burgers, and brunch! Their seasonal craft beers are a must.

It's always encouraging to see a local brand earn its reputation.
Goodwood is a Kentucky brewery and restaurant that started in Louisville in 2005 and has gradually extended its reach to Lexington, Frankfort, and Owensboro (plus one location out of state near St. Louis — we wonder if more are to come!).
It's a fantastic place to settle in for a drink and a made-from-scratch meal. Here's what we've enjoyed at the Lexington location, not far from Fayette Mall.
Drinks at Goodwood
Bourbon barrel-aged beers are at the heart of Goodwood's drink lineup, but they've also got an enticing list of signature cocktails, featuring Kentucky Bourbon Trail brands like Woodford Reserve.

When we went, the server was very friendly and let us try some beer tastings before ordering.

We finally decided on a cranberry porter and a holé jalapeño cocktail, which includes mango puree and a bit of a smoky, salty flavor.

Goodwood always has an impressive array of seasonal brews. You'll want to check out their website for what's on tap currently at each location.

Dining Experience
Goodwood's menu has lots of comfort food. A lot of the options are Southern-style meals, with wonderful brunch choices and flavor-packed burgers.

For a starter, we couldn't resist the Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and garlic oil. It was really delicious; I was especially a fan of the dipping mustard.

My strawberry kale salad entrée was huge, but with a light amount of dressing it was really refreshing as a meal.

The Brunchie Burger with fries was topped with an egg and a fried green tomato.

On a previous visit, we also tried the fish tacos and a brisket Reuben and tater tots.

We've enjoyed great service and consistently delicious food every time we’ve been to Goodwood.
There's some partially enclosed outdoor seating, but the weather has been stormy each time we’ve come so we’ve always sat inside.

You can see beer brewing equipment on the level above the seating area.

With around 30 beers on tap (and at least that many bourbons), we keep finding new things to try at this spot! I hope you get a chance to check it out in Lexington or one of the other locations.
