Tin Pan Galley is an iconic restaurant in the small town of Sackets Harbor, NY. Enjoy a hearty brunch or lunch on their quaint stone courtyard.
My husband has been gushing about the Tin Pan Galley for years now, and specifically about their stuffed French toast.
In fact, this strawberry stuffed French toast recipe was an attempt to recreate Tin Pan Galley's version.
He ate there with friends 10 years ago, and has been wanting to visit again ever since.
We finally made it there together.
And it lived up to the hype!
What to Expect at Tin Pan Galley
Tin Pan Galley is a super cute restaurant in Sackets Harbor, NY, and is known for its gourmet-style brunch and lunch.
It has quirky decorations indoors and out.
The building is a mesmerizing mass of ivy-covered brick.
There's some outdoor seating in a charming little courtyard, but it's a popular spot (and everyone wants the outdoor tables), so come early.
It's generally open seasonally, from spring to fall. The exact days, hours, and even the length of the season can vary a bit from year to year, so be sure to check out the official website or Facebook page for the latest schedule. In 2021, it's open into December.
Choosing from the Menu
Our group enjoyed the stuffed French toast, the huevos rancheros (which was HUGE), and the breakfast special (a seasoned naan with caramelized onions, goat cheese and eggs).
Everything was fabulous and the stuffed French toast was incredible (as promised).

After eating, don't miss the opportunity to stroll around the quaint and historic harbor town.
Sackets Harbor is located on Lake Ontario, and not only is the harbor beautiful to look at, but the town is full of interesting architecture and cute shops.
Main Street, which is where Tin Pan Galley is located, is very walkable and fun to explore.
If history is your thing, you'll find plenty to engage with at the visitor's center and War of 1812 battlefield site. Tiny as the town is, it features several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.

I know Tin Pan Galley well. I grew up in Sackets and my grandparents ran a store on the bottom floor and upstairs was where they lived. It used to be a hotel and when I was small the bedroom doors still had room numbers on them. My grandmother planted that ivy. The food is amazing although since I now live in Florida I don’t get there as often as I’d like.
