Turmeric Smoothie with Kefir (Golden Milk)
This vegan-friendly Turmeric Smoothie with Kefir is an ice cold twist on Golden Milk. Drink it for the probiotics, for the health benefits, and for the delicious, peppery flavor.

- 1 cup milk kefir OR coconut milk kefir
- 1 tsp maple syrup or honey, to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- pinch black pepper
- 4 ice cubes (optional)
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Taste, and add more sweetener if desired.
Pour smoothie into glass cups, and drink immediately.
Leftovers / Make Ahead: Smoothies can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Tip: Avoiding Turmeric Stains
Rinse the blender immediately to avoid staining-- before drinking the smoothies.
Avoid serving smoothies in plastic cups-- the smoothie will stain plastic.
