Lavender Simple Syrup

This lavender simple syrup uses dried lavender flowers for an easy and delicious sweetener. It's perfect for lemonade, herbal tea, and cocktails!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Add sugar, lavender, and water to a small pot.  Bring to a boil, and then lower heat slightly. Simmer mixture for 5 minutes.
  • Take the syrup off heat, and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.  Strain out the lavender, and bottle the syrup.
  • Store lavender simple syrup in a glass jar (or airtight container) in the fridge.  Use within a month.

Notes

Yields: About 1 cup syrup.  Serving size estimates 1 teaspoon per serving.
