Ingredients

  • 11-inch original or thin crust pizza dough (NOT pre-cooked) Jus-Rol dough recommended
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
  • 1 avocado, diced (optional)
  • ½ pound raw shrimp, shells removed and (optionally) deveined Thawed if purchased frozen
  • 1 tablespoon chili crisp oil (or chili crunch oil) I use Fly by Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp
  • 1 tablespoon hot (spicy) honey I use Mike’s Hot Honey. Or substitute a pinch of red chili flakes + regular honey.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425ºF. Place the pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven and allow it to heat up as the oven pre-heats.
Unroll the pizza dough onto parchment paper, and place on a pizza slide or a cutting board.  Gently brush or rub the oil onto the dough. Sprinkle the dough with the herbs.

  • Remove the pizza stone or baking sheet from the oven. (Be careful, it will be hot!) Move the parchment paper and dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet.
Note: If baking pizza on an air-flow pizza pan, you should NOT add parchment paper.
Bake for 5 minutes, and then remove the dough from the oven. (Leave the oven on.)
