Señor Chimi is a chimichanga food stand at Triangle Park in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. Visit for delicious and quick meals!

We’re in Lexington, Kentucky, fairly often and I’m always on the lookout for a new delicious place to eat.
Earlier this year, we noticed that the little food stand at Triangle Park (formerly the Triangle Park Café, but most recently, an empty building), now promised that chimichangas and margaritas would be coming soon. I was excited!
This little food stand is now Señor Chimi, a cute chimichanga spot! This is a sister site to El Cid, one of Lexington’s favorite Mexican restaurants.
Looking for more Lexington-area eats? Check out some of our favorite spots, such as The Local Taco, Han Woo Ri, Athenian Grill and Condado.

Where Is Señor Chimi Located?
Señor Chimi is at Triangle Park close to the water feature. Triangle Park is within easy walking distance of the downtown Lexington Farmer’s Market.
It’s also close to Luna at the Grove and Nate’s Coffee, two of our other favorite downtown Lexington spots.

The Menu
Ordering off the menu isn’t complicated, but I was a little overwhelmed (because I wanted everything).

You pick your tortilla type (or skip the tortilla and go with a bowl), the meat (or veggie), and two sides. More sides or sauces are extra.
I ordered shrimp chimichangas with pico de gallo and refried beans, and my husband ordered the Buffalo chicken with sour cream and jalapeños. We both got some chipotle sauce (which was extra).
We got our order pretty quickly and ate on one of the nearby outdoor tables.

Everything was delicious, especially the shrimp chimichanga!
I will say that chimichangas are a little hard to eat with plastic forks, so I wish I’d brought along my titanium spork.
I’d love to come back when we can try their margaritas!
